SAMA-UV laboratories equipped with a µFTIR to determine microplastics in environmental samples. New scientific equipment at the CIDE thanks to the IDIFEDER/2021/083 grant for the acquisition of R&D&I infrastructures and equipment for the period 2021-2022 Through the project led by Dra. Yolanda Picó, Radiografía de la contaminación y los efectos del binomio Antropoceno/Cambio Climático (X-POLLUTANTS), an action co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Operational Program of the Comunitat Valenciana 2014-2020, a new Fourier transform infrared microscopy equipment (µFTIR) has been added to the scientific equipment of the Desertification Research Center (CIDE, CSIC-UV-GVA). This will improve its capacity to determine emerging pollutants and obtain a radiography of pollution in the Valencia Region, and thus be able to study how anthropic pressure and climate change modify the storage, transformation, transport, ecodynamics and bioabsorption of pollutants.
